Saeed AI-Masoud, was a Director/Senior Relationship Manager, serving as
the Citigroup Private Bank Head in the United Arab Emirates. Mr. AI-Masoud
joined Citigroup in March 1988 until he filed for retirement in August
2005.
Since August 2005, Mr. AI-Masoud formed his own General Banking
Consultancy company, (FCC), where he engaged in two major consultancy
contracts with both Jp Morgan Chase for Private Banking and with
Citigroup N .A. for Corporate Banking to be their senior consultant for
the Emirates market.
Mr. AI-Masoud has over 25 years of diverse international banking
experience. He served in the consumer, corporate and for the last 16
years in the private banking area. Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. AI-Masoud
was at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NB AD) as a corporate lending
officer, he was primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of
corporate clients at the main branch in Abu Dhabi.
Mr. AI-Masoud completed 18 years with Citigroup in the Emirates and
during this period he held numerous managerial and senior relationship
positions. This included an assignment as Consumer Bank Sales Team Head,
Abu Dhilbi Branch Manager, U.A.E. Private Bank Head and later on as Abu
Dhabi Chief Officer. Mr. AI-Masoud was primarily looking after ultra
high networth individuals and ruling family members in terms of their
wealth management needs and expectations.
Mr. AI-Masoud holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration
(Jan.1978) from Jordan University, Amman and an "MBA" degree (May 1982)
from the American Graduate School of International Management
(Thunderbird) in Phoenix, Arizona - U.S.A.
Mr. AI-Masoud was officially licensed as "Banking Expert" in the UAE by
the Ministry of Justice for legal conflicts and arbitration and also was
a recipient of several awards including Citigroup Highest Revenue Growth
Leader and was elected to Citigroup Private Banking "Chairman's Council"
2003, 2004 and 2005.
In February 2002, Mr. AI-Masoud , was privileged by RH. late Sheikh
Zayed, U.A.E. President, special decree, to grant him the U.A.E.
citizenship (by law) in appreciation of his professional and social
contributions to Abu Dhabi business and financial community during the
last 20 years of service. Saeed is married with 3 children, “ Rashid ,
Zeynab and Hiba".
